first portrait iv done in a while without using a computer. Didn't work as well as i had hoped but il be doing some more to  practice soon.

Another news story I thought would look good.

illustration process

Over the summer I set myself some one day challenges. 

The first was to create a design or illustration for a news story. The story was 'Extra troops sent to Rio slum after 

gunfight erupts'.    

To start i did a quick sketch of what i thought the layout would look like. 

Next i moved onto creating the different layers that would be included in the final piece.

The next step is to put them together on photoshop, they are all transparent layers so they look like this.  

All that's left to do now is add colours and shadows and have a fiddle with the layer opacity to give it a good effect.
